IFOM carries out vocational training courses , guidance and professional training interventions, particularly based on school-work alternation and work-based learning with an international dimension aimed at increasing, updating, improving skills, abilities and knowledge and increasing employability.
The Institute aims to bridge the skill mismatch between the skills required by the labor market and those possessed by VET students to increase their employability, especially for those with special needs. IFOM also hosts and trains both learners in initial and continuing vocational training and apprentices and is an active member of the EAfA network.
IFOM carries out continuing professional training courses focused on new training needs and in particular on entrepreneurship and self-entrepreneurship, on communication and digital marketing and on internationalization and languages .
IFOM uses work-based training and mobility as tools to foster employability and reduce the skills gap between education and the labor market.
IFOM works mainly with 3 categories of learners:
- Young unemployed, in particular VET high school graduates aged between 18 and 23 years
- Students aged between 15 and 18 who are pursuing secondary school education courses or VET courses
- Apprentices aged between 18 and 29 years
